Teacher of Religion and Philosophy job summary

We are looking for a high calibre Teacher of Religion and Philosophy to join our successful RP Department, who will enthuse students through the provision of high-quality teaching and learning, encouraging all students to develop their potential to the full.

As a faith school, religion and philosophy is hugely important to St Andrew the Apostle School, the only state-maintained Greek Orthodox secondary school in the UK. The successful candidate will share in our vision for Orthodox education as part of a successful department, which is committed to raising academic standards for all students whilst supporting the spiritual and moral development of the whole person.

Students at St Andrew appreciate being taught well and enjoy their learning; student feedback from Curriculum Reviews in RP is extremely positive. Our GCSE results are consistently strong with whole school P8 of + 0.4 in 2024 and our RP results feed into this success.
