We have an exceptional Humanities team here at Bohunt Liphook who achieve phenomenal results and provide life-changing opportunities to the young people we serve. A rare opportunity has arisen to join them as a teacher of Religion, including teaching in our modern and exceptionally high performing Sixth Form.
You will be surrounded by expert and supportive colleagues, incredibly well led, and have the opportunity to thrive in your own classroom, teaching some of the most inquisitive young minds and game changers of the future. RE is taught across all year groups as a discrete subject, we have a popular GCSE course, and our A-Level is hugely successful. You will be joining a small but dedicated and loveable team of equally passionate practitioners!
If, like us, you believe that educating about believes, philosophy, the values of yourself and others, and you have a passion for religion and global cultures, then your vision and values align with ours and you have found your next team.
We are seeking an inspirational classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge who is, or has the potential to be, an outstanding practitioner and has the necessary skills, attributes and passion to engender a love of learning Religion. Applications are invited from trainees as well as more experienced colleagues.
Are you able to:
- Inspire and innovate?
- Nurture and develop (yourself as well as others)?
- Commit to, and raise further, high achievement and motivation?
- Optimise learning for all?
What the school offers its staff
- Our greatest strength is our people and we work hard to make sure you know that. Wellbeing is central to all we do – we have dedicated wellbeing days for staff, early finishes for you to take the time you need, and we have now implemented a 2-week Autumn half term, giving you more time outside of work than in other schools
- Our students are exceptional – bright, inquisitive, respectful and diligent and they provide an environment where you can teach and realise your potential, as well as theirs. Ofsted said their behaviour was outstanding, and we agree
- Not to mention the little thank-yous that make a difference now and again – Easter eggs, advent calendars, breakfasts, BBQs and end of term events
- Planning your lessons is crucial and it’s always easier when we collaborate – we’ve put in place hours of co-planning so that you can share best practice and resources and not have to sit at home doing it on your own.
In addition, we will offer:
- A culture of bespoke professional development from our own Leadership Academy
- The opportunity to make a difference
- Staff iPads
- Benefit schemes
- The benefit of being part of a multi-academy trust offering collaboration, support of experienced colleagues across our schools and greater opportunities for career progression
