Teacher of Religious Education job summary

We are seeking a vibrant Teacher of RE who will relish the prospect of transforming lives by sharing their love for the subject. We want teachers who are conscientious, hard-working, enjoy being with children and love to see student success. Providing high standards of teaching and learning, using your up-to-date knowledge, skills and expertise you will work within the guidance of all Trust policies and procedures as set out. You will maintain a thorough and up to date knowledge of the teaching of RE and take account of wider curriculum developments which are relevant to your work. Subject to relevant experience, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the department leader in strategically leading and delivering the curriculum and will have shared responsibility for the overall effectiveness in providing the highest quality of RE education for all our students in our outstanding school. The role may also potentially require some teaching within other Humanities subjects.

Our CPD programme focuses on sharing time with your line manager, reflecting on best practice with a focus on the Rosenshine principles. The school culture is centered upon life-long learning and ambition for all. You will be given all the freedom you need to be creative, and you will be working with students who have chosen to be at a successful school. We can offer you the next step in your career and give you the opportunity to be both developed and challenged, whether you are an NQT or a more experienced practitioner.

Beginning in January 2024, our new term structure will follow the Northamptonshire framework. This could be an exciting prospect if you are currently employed, or have family who are employed or in education, under this structure.
