Your role:

In this role, you will deliver engaging and thought-provoking Religious Studies lessons that challenge and inspire students across Key Stages. You will plan and teach a well-structured curriculum, assess progress thoughtfully and adapt your teaching to meet the needs of all learners, ensuring every student has the opportunity to achieve their potential.

You will create a purposeful and inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident to explore different beliefs and perspectives. With high expectations and a commitment to excellence, you will motivate learners, foster curiosity and promote strong moral and social understanding. Alongside your teaching, you will contribute to the wider life of the academy, building positive relationships with colleagues, students, parents and the community.

You will bring strong subject knowledge in Religious Studies, underpinned by a relevant degree and qualified teacher status, along with a clear understanding of effective teaching and assessment practices. Your ability to inspire and engage young people, differentiate learning and use a range of teaching strategies will be key, as will your commitment to collaboration, continuous professional development and upholding the academy’s values in everything you do.
