About us
At Newlands, positive working relationships, team spirit and a collective vision underpin everything we do. Our values, the 3Cs - Courage, Commitment and Compassion, are what drive us. Respect, collaboration and a desire for there to be no limits set on potential achievement, whatever the starting point, is at the heart of our ethos.
Science is a key subject within the school with all students taking either Separate or Combined Science at GCSE. In 2025, 84% of students achieved grades 9-4, putting the department among the top schools in the country. All three sciences are popular A level choices. In addition to A levels we offer Applied Science and Health and Social Care courses with students progressing to a wide range of STEM degrees and careers.
