About the Role:
St Ivo Academy is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Science Teacher to support our thriving Science department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about science and education to play a vital role in helping deliver high-quality practical learning experiences for students across KS3, KS4, and Sixth Form.

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to prepare and maintain equipment, materials, and resources for practical lessons. You will ensure that health and safety standards are met, support students during experiments, and contribute to the smooth running of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use a range of teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Demonstrate secure subject knowledge across biology, chemistry, and physics.
  • Prepare and supervise practical experiments, ensuring safety and relevance.
  • Assess student progress effectively and use data to inform planning.
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback to support student development.
  • Create a positive, well-managed classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement.
  • Support students in achieving strong outcomes at GCSE and A-Level.
  • Participate in enrichment activities, trips, and science-related clubs.
