Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality teaching across the Science curriculum at Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5 if applicable)
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that inspire and challenge students of all abilities
- Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing targeted feedback to support improvement
- Contribute to the development of an ambitious and knowledge-rich Science curriculum
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports excellent behaviour for learning
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and support departmental improvement
- Participate in wider school life, including enrichment, trips, and extracurricular activities
- Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students
- A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a strong subject knowledge in Science
- The ability to teach engaging and effective lessons that secure strong student outcomes
- A commitment to high expectations and raising attainment for all students
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment
- A reflective practitioner who is committed to continuous professional development
- A collaborative team player who contributes positively to department and whole-school priorities

The college was established in 1963, one of several village colleges in the region that were the inspiration of educational pioneer Henry Morris, who believed that the school should be at the heart of its community and that education should be a lifelong process.
