What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Science who can deliver high-quality learning opportunities for our students across this key curriculum area. You will be joining a very passionate and effective team of 5 teachers and leaders who work collaboratively to implement a digital IB curriculum with carefully planned interdisciplinary links with other departments. The Science team is part of Turing College (STEM subjects) and works closely with all other departments, particularly Maths, PE and Technology to ensure they deliver a highly ambitious, global curriculum with cross-curricular links. Being part of Leigh Academies Trust:As of 1st April 2024, our Trust comprises 32 geographically organised academies (16 secondaries, 14 primaries and 2 special) educating more than 20,000 students and employing 3,000 talented staff. Nearly 40% of our academies are judged outstanding overall by Ofsted, versus 15% nationally. The Trust is establishing four ‘clusters’ of academies: North Kent; Central Kent; South East London; Medway.
