About the Role
Armthorpe Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Science to join our ambitious and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a curriculum that develops curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of science.
You will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes while fostering a passion for scientific enquiry.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
- Create a positive, safe, and well-managed classroom environment
- Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
- Support students’ wider development as a Form Tutor
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external partners
- Uphold safeguarding, behaviour, and school policies
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has strong subject knowledge in Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics)
- Can teach across KS3 and KS4
- Is passionate about inspiring students and raising achievement
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- Works effectively as part of a team
- Is committed to continuous professional development
