Are you a dedicated advocate for the wonders of science, eager to unlock the latent potential in every student? Bishop Wand School is looking for a Teacher of Science in our dynamic and forward-thinking community. This is a fixed term position to cover a period of maternity, starting in September 2026 or sooner.

You would be part of a distinctive CPD programme especially crafted by our forward-thinking Science Leadership Team and part of a wider school development process. Designed to elevate science teaching and learning, this program is rooted in the latest research and evidence. Just as we empower our students, we empower you to evolve as an educator.
The Bishop Wand Science Faculty is committed to achieving excellent results and we consistently achieve above national average in our Foundation groups. We regularly achieve the top grades in both GCSE and A level across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
We're thrilled to share that Bishop Wand School is currently investing in the refurbishment of our science labs, creating cutting-edge spaces for hands-on learning. Additionally, our excitement builds as we eagerly anticipate the completion of a brand-new building designed to cater specifically to the evolving needs of our Science Department.
