What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Degree or equivalent in Science or related subject

  • Qualified teacher status

  • Evidence of continuing professional development

  • Degree at 2:1 or above in Science related subject

  • Good knowledge of the Science curriculum across at least two key stages

  • Able to teach A Level

  • Competent use of IT

  • Commitment to being involved in the wider life of school through participation in extra-curricular activities

  • Willing to organise and participate in enrichment visits to the UK and abroad

  • Experience of working in a similar setting

  • Able to engage, enthuse and motivate students of all abilities

  • Ability to set targets, meet deadlines and work under pressure

  • Evidence of, and willing to, contribute to extra-curricular activities

  • Maintains high professional standards

  • Commitment and enthusiasm for teaching Science
