Job description

To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students in science and psychology.
To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/Form Tutor.
To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
To contribute to raising standards of student progress and attainment.

Essential educational requirements

Undergraduate degree (or equivalent)

Essential qualifications

Recognised teaching qualification (eg QTS)

Essential skills and experience

Experience of planning effectively across the age and ability range, planning, setting and assessing homework to sustain progress or extend and consolidate learning
Able to teach challenging, well-organised lessons and sequences of lessons across the age and ability range
Able to establish a purposeful and safe learning environment, managing learners’ behaviour constructively and promoting self-control, independence and cooperation
