Teacher of Science (any specialism) job summary

Temporary maternity cover from January to Easter 2020.

Our team are looking to welcome a motivated teacher, full or part time, with a keen interest in encouraging and inspiring students to love learning and excel in Science. We are a fast developing and innovative area of the school and have made Science an extremely popular and successful subject at Myton.

In the 2019 examinations, 79% of our students achieved 2 or more GCSE science qualifications at grade 4 or above. 20% of these students achieved at least two grade 7’s. At A Level, our sciences contribute to our Ofsted-rated “Outstanding” 6th form with consistently strong outcomes in all courses.

As well as being academic, we are also highly inclusive and want all students to develop a love for science and to think like a scientist. As a happy and purposeful community, we offer students an exciting curriculum and a huge range of extra-curricular opportunities within a safe, secure and supportive environment. With enduring values of care and mutual respect we support hard-working staff as well as students and families.
