About the role
We are looking for a professional and dynamic teacher to join our highly successful Science Department. We encourage applicants from all subject areas within the discipline.
The individual should have high expectations of achievement, outstanding classroom practice and the ability to instil a passion for their subject in others. Applications are welcome from candidates with highly effective interpersonal skills, energy and enthusiasm and a desire to develop the Department further.
About us
Manor High School is an exceptional 11-16 school based in Oadby, Leicestershire, it is the highest achieving secondary school locally that has year after year performed well above average. This exceptional achievement comes from the hard-work and dedication of all staff. With around 950 students, we benefit from a culturally diverse population and a body of students who are well-motivated, with very high aspirations. Outcomes in the department reflect the same high standards of achievement and make a positive contribution to whole school outcomes.
We are a school that is committed to a 1-2-1 iPad scheme. This has launched this year for KS3 and next year, will extend into KS4. It has been well received by students and staff alike. Full training will be given to the successful candidate using both internal and external experts, including our own Apple Learning Coach.

Professional Development
As a school, we will support your own professional learning and development. Each member of teaching staff is allocated an instructional coach who will work with them to develop their practice.
There is also the opportunity to coach and full training will be given.
