What skills and experience we're looking for

Are you a passionate educator with a flair for Science? We’re seeking an enthusiastic, forward-thinking Teacher to join our successful Trust and contribute to our mission of raising the standards of education for our students.

In this full-time, permanent role, you’ll be based at Chatham Grammar, a highly oversubscribed secondary school serving the local community of Medway. As part of our Trust-wide environment, you’ll experience open management that fosters growth and collaboration.

At Chatham Grammar, we extend a very warm welcome to all. Our Principal, along with a dedicated and passionate team of professionals, is committed to Transforming Lives Through Learning. We aim to create a caring, supportive, and aspirational learning environment, guided by our REACH values of Resilience, Equality, Aspiration, Community, and Happiness.

What the school offers its staff

The successful applicant will be coming to a multi-academy trust-wide supportive learning environment characterised by open management and in the knowledge that they will enjoy the full support and care of the pragmatic (and down-to-earth) leadership team. We have a dynamic, innovative team of professional staff who want to make a difference to the lives, aspirations and opportunities of our young people. We would encourage applicants to visit the UKAT website to view the many employee benefits on offer: https://www.universityofkentacademiestrust.org.uk/careers-with-ukat.

Further details about the role

Your application should be made after reading the job description and person specification, and you will use the application to tell us how your current skills and experience fit the requirements and why you think you would be suited to this role. CVs will not be accepted.

We are keen to attract top talent to our inclusive Trust, and therefore, we welcome applications from all people across the community spectrum regardless of their race, religion, ethnicity, sexuality, sexual orientation, disability, gender reassignment or age.

Commitment to safeguarding

The University of Kent Academies Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service
(DBS).

In addition, the Trust will carry out an online search, once, as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates.
