An exciting opportunity has arisen for a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher to join our science team. The scale of our science department (with more than 30 teachers and three technicians) means we can offer applicants different teaching pathways to suit their interests/experience. We are keen to receive applications from:

• Colleagues who wish to teach science to key stage 3 and 4 students only
• Colleagues who wish to teach across the school (science to KS3/4 and your specialism to A Level)
• Colleagues who wish to teach only A Level students in our highly selective Sixth Form (in either Biology, Chemistry or Physics).

The successful applicant will be a teacher with strong subject knowledge who is passionate about sharing this knowledge with young people. The position would suit a talented and ambitious early career stage teacher or a more experienced teacher looking to broaden their experience at an outstanding inner-city school. We have well established CPD programmes and offer an exciting career pathway for teachers who care passionately about transforming the life chances of the students they teach. A TLR allowance is available for a suitably experienced applicant.

You will be joining a team of highly motivated and dedicated team of teachers who believe there are no limits to what our students can achieve. The science department is very well led, with first class resources available to support high quality teaching and learning. As a result, student outcomes at GCSE and A level are very good. The sciences are the most popular subjects at A level, with many students proceeding to study science-based degrees at elite Russell Group universities, including Oxbridge. Our average class size is 24 at key stages 3 and 4.
