What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner with a love of their subject and high expectations of their students. They will be an excellent communicator who can inspire young people, and their strong interpersonal skills will enable them to work collaboratively as part of a highly effective team. They will be committed to supporting the ethos and wider life of our school. They should have experience of teaching Science to all abilities across both key stages and have a good understanding of the requirements for GCSE Science. In particular, they will be able to teach Chemistry or Physics at Key Stage 4.

• Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge students.

• Prepare and Deliver well structured lessons across the age and ability range in accordance with the syllabus.

• Ensure planning and lessons meet the needs of all groups of learners.

• Adhere to school policies regarding homework, marking, assessment and feedback.

• Manage student behaviour effectively, in line with school systems and policies.
