Teacher of Science job summary
CP Riverside School seeks an experienced and resilient Teacher of Science to join the dedicated and aspirational staff team.
We are a small Alternative Provision Free School and deliver a combined academic and creative curriculum to 56 students in years 8 – 11. Our students attend CP Riverside School for various reasons, including belonging to a smaller school community, a reduced number of students in classes and increased adult support to enable sustainable progress in areas such as learning, behaviour, character and aspiration.
We are looking for a teacher who has the knowledge and ability to teach Science at KS3 and GCSE Science at KS4. The successful candidate will also play an essential role in developing a Science department as we roll out GCSE Biology as part of our core curriculum to students in year 10 from September 2021.
This is an ideal opportunity for a teacher looking to further expand their teaching and pastoral experience by working in a challenging but inspiring and rewarding environment! We have a very competent and strong staff team looking to welcome a new recruit to our somewhat unique school.
The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We welcome applications regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religion.
