Purpose:

You will deliver a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum that engages students of varying ages and abilities. You will create a positive learning environment that enables every student to reach their full academic potential, while closely monitoring and supporting their progress and development. You will play an active role in raising standards of attainment and helping to close gaps between different groups of learners. Alongside your teaching, you will also contribute to students’ wider personal development and growth, supporting them both academically and pastorally as their teacher and tutor.

Duties (further details in the attached application pack)

  • Deliver high‑quality, engaging lessons that meet the needs of students across ages and abilities.
  • Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, resources and curriculum contributions.
  • Monitor, assess and report on student progress, attainment, attendance and development.
  • Maintain discipline and uphold school policies on behaviour, appearance, punctuality and homework.
  • Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports enjoyment and achievement.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and school quality assurance processes.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/carers and external agencies to support student success.
  • Participate in trips, events and wider school activities that enrich learning.
  • Support students’ personal development and wellbeing alongside their academic growth.

Fluency Duty
