What the school offers its staff
Hyde High School is a co-educational 11-16 school with approximately 1150 pupils on roll. This is a proudly multicultural school with almost a third of pupils having Bangladeshi heritage and typically thriving at Hyde. The school serves two of the most deprived wards in Tameside and a large proportion of pupils are supported by Pupil Premium funding. SMSC is a strength and permeates our school; positive relationships underpin our harmonious and aspirational ethos. Pastoral systems are strong and a wide variety of support measures are effectively employed to enable pupils to access learning.
Hyde is proud to be an educationally inclusive school, one in which the teaching and learning, achievements, attitudes and well-being of every young person matter. We have a strong, committed and stable staff team; a low staff turnover speaks volumes about the well-resourced working environment and positive culture within our school.
Commitment to safeguarding
Hyde High School is committed to safeguarding and equal rights and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
A copy of our Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy is available on our website.
