Teacher of Science (Maternity Cover) job summary

St Gregory’s Catholic High School is looking to appoint a Teacher of Science on a maternity contract with the potential of future full time employment due to the continuing expansion of our school which will be complete in September 2022. All core subject areas of the school are in continual expansion and we have recently appointed additional Maths, English, RE and Science teachers to support our growth in pupil numbers and our new teaching block providing an additional 20 classrooms. In the first instance, the position being advertised and available is a maternity contract and this is a good opportunity to demonstrate future potential towards a full time contract. The maternity contract is full time, however there may be level of flexibility for 0.8 or 0.9 depending on the needs of the timetable from September 2021 onwards. For the period of May / June and July 2021, the position would be full time.

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
