What skills and experience we're looking for
For September 2026, we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic science teacher to join our team. A Level teaching will be available for a suitably qualified candidate in their specialism. We welcome applications from all subject specialisms, but a Chemistry and/or Physics specialism would be an advantage. We aim to have teachers primarily teach in their specialism at A Level and GCSE and all sciences at KS3. It is important to us to have an enthusiastic and engaging teacher of science who will join and enrich our strong teaching team. The extra-curricular provision is also very strong with a thriving and successful Science Club, a F1 in Schools group, as well as a host of ‘gifted and talented’ activities and curriculum-based trips and visits.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join a very experienced and supportive department with a commitment to deliver practical science. Due to the success of the subject at key stage 4 and key stage 5, a desire to develop the ability to deliver science at A Level would be an advantage. We offer a very strong support programme for teachers who are starting their career and working towards ECT status or returning to teaching after a break.
