TLR 2b £6,257 available for a Head of Year Pastoral Role for a candidate with the relevant knowledge and experience.

Required from 1st September 2026

We are currently seeking to appoint a Teacher of Science to join our 'inclusive and vibrant school' (OFSTED 24) which has a highly enthusiastic and dedicated team. The successful applicant will be an inspirational forward thinker with a focus on developing exciting and engaging learning experiences and have a belief in our ‘can do’ culture where anything is possible. ECTs are welcome to apply for the teaching role.

It is a very exciting time to join our school and Trust as we moved into our brand new, state of the art school in September 2024. Our Science block comprises of 8 purpose built science rooms; a faculty office and technician rooms. It is an excellent environment for learning in which to teach and our science team are passionate about ensuring our students have a fantastic curriculum which is very well structured but where all staff can contribute. Results in the department have been amongst the best in the school in recent years at GCSE and A Level.

Kineton High School is an oversubscribed, diverse mixed 11-18 comprehensive with approximately 1100 pupils on roll (180 in the Sixth Form). Our aim at Kineton is to put students at the heart of everything. We want them to develop the confidence, skills and qualifications to ensure that they are happy and successful in their next stage of life or learning, wherever that might be.

We offer:

  • Excellent career development opportunities
  • Strong support and mentoring for Early Career Teachers
  • An environment where there are positive relationships between students and staff
  • Strong CPD and career development opportunities

This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious school where 'students are supported to achieve their personal best' (OFSTED 24) and a department which is very successful. We welcome colleagues who really want to make a difference to the lives of young people and who share in our passion for engaging students in learning and inspiring them to achieve. If you can motivate and inspire students and have high expectations of them and yourself, then we would love to hear from you.

Please state whether you are interested in being considered for Head of Year Post in your application.

We would welcome visits to the school prior to application. Please contact Mrs Sarah Langridge-Edmunds (Head's PA) in the first instance.

We are part of Stowe Valley Multi Academy Trust, led by Southam College (an Ofsted Outstanding school). This has enhanced our ability to offer inspirational and supportive leadership and CPD for all of our staff.
