Teacher of Science

Required from 1st September 2026
We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Science to join our “inclusive and vibrant school” (Ofsted, 2024), where you will be part of a highly enthusiastic and dedicated team. The successful applicant will be an inspirational, forward‑thinking practitioner with a passion for creating exciting and engaging learning experiences, and a belief in our ‘can do’ culture where anything is possible. Applications are welcomed from all Science specialisms; however, a Physics specialist would be particularly desirable. Early Career Teachers are warmly encouraged to apply.
It is a very exciting time to join our school and Trust, as we moved into our brand‑new, purpose‑built, state-of-the-art building in September 2024. Our Science block consists of eight specialist laboratories, a faculty office, and dedicated technician workrooms. This provides an excellent environment in which to teach, learn and collaborate.
Our Science team is warm, welcoming and highly supportive, with a strong culture of sharing best practice. We have high-quality, centralised resources that streamline planning and ensure consistency, while still allowing staff to contribute ideas and develop the curriculum further. Technician support is outstanding, with three skilled technicians—one for each subject specialism—who play a central role in enabling high-quality practical science.
Results within the department have consistently been among the strongest in the school at both GCSE and A Level, reflecting the high standards, collaborative ethos and commitment to excellence shared across our team.
Kineton High School is an oversubscribed, diverse mixed 11-18 comprehensive with approximately 1100 pupils on roll (180 in the Sixth Form). Our aim at Kineton is to put students at the heart of everything. We want them to develop the confidence, skills and qualifications to ensure that they are happy and successful in their next stage of life or learning, wherever that might be.
We offer:
- Excellent career development opportunities
- Strong support and mentoring for Early Career Teachers
- An environment where there are positive relationships between students and staff
- Strong CPD and career development opportunities
This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious school where 'students are supported to achieve their personal best' (OFSTED 24) and a department which is very successful. We welcome colleagues who really want to make a difference to the lives of young people and who share in our passion for engaging students in learning and inspiring them to achieve. If you can motivate and inspire students and have high expectations of them and yourself, then we would love to hear from you.
We welcome visits to the school prior to application. Please contact Mrs Sarah Langridge-Edmunds (Head's PA) in the first instance.
We are part of Stowe Valley Multi Academy Trust, led by Southam College (an Ofsted Outstanding school). This has enhanced our ability to offer inspirational and supportive leadership and CPD for all of our staff.
Achieving personal best!
All applications are via our online platform and can be found on the Vacancies section of the Stowe Valley Multi Academy Trust website www.stowevalleymat.com. Visits to the school are welcomed.
