What skills and experience we're looking for

Skills, Knowledge and Aptitude

Ø Graduate with QTS

Ø A good quality honours degree or equivalent

Ø Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Physics curriculum at Key stage 3 and 4

Ø Excellent interpersonal skills

Ø Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in spoken, written and visual form

Ø Strong ICT skills used to enhance learning

Ø The ability to effectively teach Science across the ability range.

Ø Able to organise work and meet deadlines

Ø Effective classroom management

Ø Able to motivate young people and to scaffold / challenge effectively

Ø Ability to effectively use a variety of assessment and review techniques

Ø Able to contribute ideas and work as part of a team

Ø Able to plan sequences of learning effectively based upon strong pedagogical knowledge

Experience

Ø Has successfully taught Physics to pupils of secondary school age (A / R)

Ø Evidence of pupil progress (A)
