What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of Science, specialism in either Biology or Chemistry to join our thriving department and to be a integral part of our fantastic Science team. With a passion for their subject, and the promotion of STEM, the successful candidate will teach their specialism to KS4 and 5 and play a key role in preparing students for further and higher study of the subject
This is a fantastic opportunity for a well-qualified Teacher to work with some of the highest calibre students in the country.Enrichment opportunities provide a perfect complement to the taught curriculum.
All students study GCSE Triple Science and we have approximately 27 teaching groups across the three disciplines at Alevel.
This position would also suit an Early Career teacher who can see potential in making their mark in our outstanding grammar school or a more experienced teacher looking to inspire the next generation of Scientists.A full ECF programme and mentor will be ready and waiting for our next ECT. A willingness to contribute to our extensive enrichment and extra-curricular provision is highly encouraged.

Newstead Wood School is a highly selective girls’ state secondary school, with a co-educational Sixth Form. The school is heavily over-subscribed.
