What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher of Science to teach across the 11-18 age. The successful candidate will have high expectations of achievement and behaviour, with strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff, parents and students. They must also be sympathetic to the Catholic ethos and Mission of the School.

The Science Department are a cohesive team who work together to achieve the best for students. We offer a wide range of courses including GCSEs in Combined Science, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, as well as A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Physics and BTEC (Level 3) Applied Science.

Located on the southern fringes of the historic city of Canterbury, St Anselm's is a happy and successful wide ability school, catering for those who wish to receive a Catholic education.    The school has a large catchment area extending from Ashford to Herne Bay and from Wingham to Faversham.    It is regularly over-subscribed.  The Sixth Form, numbering 150 students, offers a wide range of Advanced level and vocational courses.   In September 2004 the school became a specialist school for Science, though retaining its Catholic ethos.
