Teacher of Science job summary
Required from January 2020. This post is suitable for either an NQT or a more experienced professional.
Due to the continuing growth of our VI Form and the expansion of lower school numbers we are seeking to appoint a high quality, enthusiastic and ambitious Science specialist to join our dedicated and successful department. You will have the opportunity to teach across the full age and ability range. You will enjoy working with our motivated, well-behaved pupils and with a supportive and hard-working team who have a proven track record in pupil achievement at both GCSE. and A level
The FitzWimarc School is a heavily over-subscribed 11 - 18 mixed comprehensive school with an excellent reputation in the local area due to pupil achievements, the school’s ethos and its commitment and involvement with the community.
The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner and able to demonstrate strong results at KS3 & KS4, an ability to teach A level would be an advantage. You will have good interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire motivate and challenge pupils. A strong team player, self-motivated and committed to continuing professional development. NQT’s will benefit from our well-developed support programmes.
