The Laurus Trust are currently looking for a dedicated Teacher ofScience to join one of our Trust schools. We have schools in Stockport, Manchester and Tameside. We are seeking an individual who can contribute to our commitment to providing exceptional teaching and learning experiences. We are searching for an individual who possesses a genuine enthusiasm for teachingScience, both within the classroom and beyond. This post is suitable for both experienced teachers or newly qualified teachers.
Our vision in Science is to create an ambitious and challenging curriculum that provides all students with the knowledge, skills and cultural capital they need to succeed in life and a depth of understanding that will enable them to pursue science beyond Key Stage 4. We offer a broad and deep curriculum that focuses on powerful knowledge and threshold concepts. We believe that mastery of threshold concepts is integral to students accessing powerful knowledge and gaining a deep understanding and appreciation of Science. We aim for each student to develop a natural curiosity and passion for Science through scientific enquiry and a wide range of enrichment activities.

Each team works tirelessly to ensure all services run smoothly and efficiently, enabling our teaching and education support staff to focus on delivering an outstanding education for our students.
