We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic teacher to join our Science Department. The Science Department is a supportive and welcoming department with considerable experience.

You will be joining a school where staff share best practice so that our standard of teaching and support is both high quality and continually developing. We are proud to be the only University accredited laboratory school in Norfolk. As a Laboratory School we are committed to research based practice which is strengthened through peer-to-peer learning, ongoing professional development and collaboration with other schools and partners.

Whilst there are accredited schools all over the world, we were the first in Norfolk to be selected. We were approached to be part of University of Greater Manchester's Laboratory School network because of our Good OFSTED rating, our strong exam results, our ethos and our record of researched-based pedagogy.

Assistant Headteacher (with Science Teaching Specialism)

Due to a significant increase in pupil applications and our status as an oversubscribed school, we are seeking an exceptional and dynamic Assistant Headteacher to join our leadership team. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of our school while leading on key priorities to ensure outstanding outcomes for all pupils. The ability to teach Science is highly desirable, enabling the candidate to contribute to our strong and growing Science department. This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving school and make a lasting impact during this exciting period of growth.

The successful candidate will be:

someone who is a highly motivated and inspiring classroom practitioner;

someone with vision, energy and a real passion for science;

able to teach science Year 7 to Year 13;

able to enthuse students of all ages and abilities. For the Assistant Head teacher role, the successful candidate will:

currently be a middle or senior leader in a school setting.

have a track record of outstanding learning and teaching practice in more than one school.

be Innovative and creative in order to engage, enthuse and progress learners.

have (or be willing to acquire)a passion for equity and a working knowledge of SEND law and local authority practice.

be able to developing and lead the implementation of strategies to sustain whole school/college improvement.

will have a strong commitment to inclusion and overcoming barriers to learning and achievement.

have a Middle or Senior Management qualification (desirable).

A degree qualification.

Qualified Teacher Status.

Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
