QUALIFICATIONS:
- Qualified teacher status
- Degree in relevant subject
TEACHING EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to teach Chemistry
- Relevant classroom experience for the post
- Ability to teach A level
- Statutory requirements for teaching of the subject
- Excellent class management and teaching skills
SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to teach at a ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’ level
- Have high expectations of students learning and attainment
- Have high expectations of students in term of behaviour
- Have the ability to motivate students
- Have a strong commitment to school improvement and raising achievement for all
- Have the ability to work effectively as a member of the team
- Have high quality organisation skills
- Have the ability to self-review effectively and set appropriate targets

Saint Augustine’s Catholic High School was established in 1974 by the Archdiocese of Birmingham to serve the needs of Catholic families living in Redditch, Bromsgrove and the surrounding areas and families of all beliefs. We currently have 945 students on roll in the 13-19 age range. Approximately 34% of our students and 25% of our staff are Catholic. We pride ourselves on being a Catholic school for all.
