Teacher of Social Science job summary
We are seeking a Teacher of Social Science to join our growing and successful Social Science department.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who is keen to inspire students and contribute to the continued development of a popular subject area at GCSE and A Level. Applications are welcome
from both experienced teachers and ECTs.
The Role
As a Teacher of Social Science, you will:
- Teach Social Science subjects across KS4 and KS5
- Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive and well‑sequenced lessons
- Assess and monitor student progress, using data to inform teaching
- Contribute positively to a collaborative and supportive department
- Support subject enrichment and promote a strong culture of
- achievement
- Uphold high expectations for learning, behaviour and wellbeing
The Ideal Candidate
- We are looking for someone who:
- Is a strong classroom practitioner with a passion for Social Sciences
- Has experience of, or the ability to teach, Social Science subjects at KS4 and KS5.
- Is reflective, organised and committed to continuous professional development
- Builds positive relationships with students and colleagues
- Shares our commitment to inclusion, wellbeing and high aspirations for all
