The Faculty of Humanities

The Faculty comprises of Geography, History, Religious Studies and Social Sciences. Associate Heads of Faculty oversee each of the principal subject areas and there is an enthusiastic and committed team of over 20 teachers together with a Curriculum Associate to support the faculty with administrative tasks and student support. The Faculty teaches from years 7-13, with very high uptake of A-Level Humanities and Social Sciences subjects in the school.

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Sociologist to join our team in the Social Sciences department. At KHS, Sociology is a popular A-Level choice and is also taught at GCSE with 3 classes in year 10 and year 11 respectively and 5 classes at A-Level. With a strong track record of success in A-Level Sociology, this is an opportunity for a motivated and passionate teacher to make the most of our diverse student body and contribute to our team under the direction of the Head of Department.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic NQT or an experienced teacher who is passionate about teaching and learning. Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to the subject are essential. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an imaginative, creative and inspiring teacher to work in a supportive and energetic school where students are making significant and sustained progress.
