The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant and forward‑thinking Social Science faculty, where you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality Sociology teaching at KS4 and KS5. You will design and deliver engaging lessons with clear learning intentions, using effective pedagogy to challenge students, stimulate intellectual curiosity and secure strong progress. The role includes marking and assessment in line with school policy, analysing data to inform teaching, and working collaboratively with the Inclusion Faculty to support students with SEND. You will also contribute to curriculum development, faculty planning and wider whole‑school initiatives, helping to promote a culture of teamwork, high expectations and continuous improvement.

About You

You will be an enthusiastic and effective classroom practitioner with QTS and strong subject knowledge in Sociology, capable of motivating students and maintaining high standards of behaviour and achievement. You bring excellent organisational and planning skills, strong interpersonal abilities and the confidence to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. You are committed to your own professional development and stay informed about current research in teaching, learning and assessment. You can analyse data to inform practice, contribute to curriculum design and uphold the school’s values through positive relationships and professional conduct.
