Redland Green School is part of the Gatehouse Green Learning Trust and is a high performing comprehensive school serving the local area of Redland in north Bristol. We are an 11-19 school with around 460 students in our Post-16 learning community, which we run with Cotham School. Our core values are really important to us and are built upon the pillars of Respect, Ambition, and Responsibility which underpins everything we do at RGS.

We are passionate that RGS has an environment where staff are keen to develop at whatever stage they are in their careers. We ensure a range of opportunities are available for staff in their professional development at RGS and offer outstanding opportunities across the MAT for staff and students to progress and contribute to the school’s continuing development. Staff wellbeing and work life balance is very important to us and we work hard to ensure that this is a high priority throughout the school.

As a school we achieve very high outcomes for our students but we also recognise that the personal development of our students is equally important. Students at RGS benefit from a wealth of different life experiences and opportunities and in doing so develop the confidence, self-esteem, and resilience necessary in later life. Our house system and vertical mentor groups provide individual care, support, and guidance. While our excellent co-curricular provision offers a weekly afternoon of Enrichment opportunities for all students, as well as sporting and musical opportunities and international trips. As an inclusive school we have a high number of students with statements of special educational needs and enjoy an effective co-located partnership with Claremont School to the benefit of students from both schools.

We are committed to building a professional and vibrant learning community where every member of staff sees themselves as a learner and contributes to the continued development of the school. We are looking for highly motivated staff members who have the creative energy to make the most of the opportunities available, as well as the resilience to cope with the challenges of working in teams and creating the very best climate for learning for our young people.
