Teacher of Sociology with Social Science (FT/PT)
We are seeking an excellent Sociology with Social Science teacher to join our welcoming and high performing team to help drive forward further developments in the curriculum. We currently offer AQA A Level Sociology and have two groups in Year 12 and 13. Alongside this the social sciences department also offer Eduqas Applied Criminology, AQA A Level Psychology and BTEC Level 3 Health and Social Care. Social Science subjects are some of the most popular in the sixth form and the department has expanded significantly in recent years. Most recently we introduced A Level Law to the department and the department is also responsible for running the EPQ Qualification.
The successful candidate would be able to teach Sociology at KS5 with the ability/willingness to teach other social science subjects. This successful department is a friendly, hard-working team, committed to stimulating students’ interest and enjoyment in their studies in addition to producing outstanding examination results.
