Teacher of Spanish (0.5 FTE) job summary

We are currently recruiting for a Teacher of Spanish. We require a talented, enthusiastic, and outstanding teacher. The MFL department is key to the success of the academy, and we have set ourselves high targets for the development of MFL across the curriculum. The successful candidate will have access to an outstanding Trust CPD programme and will be given the opportunity to gain NPQML / NPQSL accreditation within 2-years.

Our GCSE results have improved significantly over the last few years, with 53% achieving grade 9-4 in 2022, which has dramatically increased from 11% in 2019. The department is committed to improving teaching and learning through the cutting-edge of pedagogical research, including the use of metacognition, Rosenshine’s Principles of Instruction and mixed attaining groups. The department currently consists of a Lead Teacher and a recently qualified Teach First Ambassador, and you will benefit from working with a large MFL team across the Tudor Grange Trust.

General Information

At Tudor Grange Academy excellent teaching and learning is at the heart of all that we do helping students fall in love with learning, embrace a growth mindset and be successful. We use Rosenshine’s 10 principles of instruction as a framework for our Quality First Teaching (QFT) programme. All staff enrol on our Teacher Education Programme (TEP) to develop as researchers and learners to better the quality of provision in the classroom. TGSA is a dedicated reading school.
