What skills and experience we're looking for

The Role

The successful applicant should be aspirational, innovative and have a genuine engaging enthusiasm for the teaching and learning of MFL.

As a Teacher of Spanish, you should be able to teach across both Key Stages 3 and 4. The ability to teach A Level would be advantageous. Teaching French will be up to KS 3, and again the ability to teach A Level would be advantageous, but not essential.

We would welcome applications from ECTs or experienced teachers.

The School

Kenilworth Multi Academy Trust has a vacancy for a Teacher of Spanish, with a few French lessons, to cover a period of maternity leave from January 2023. Whilst the role is 0.6fte, there could be the potential to accommodate more hours. The vacancy is based at Kenilworth School and Sixth Form.

Kenilworth School and Sixth Form is rated as Outstanding by Ofsted (2013) and as the only secondary school in the community of Kenilworth, is oversubscribed with motivated and well behaved pupils.

We are currently a split site, with Years 7 – 11 based at Leyes Lane and Sixth Form set on our Rouncil Lane site. This is an exciting time to join us as the school will move to a newly built, bespoke school in Kenilworth in September 2023. The school is well resourced to support the delivery of the subject. The post holder will join a supportive team with opportunities for professional development.
