Are you a passionate and skilled Spanish teacher ready to inspire the next generation of linguists? Astrea Academy Sheffield is seeking a dedicated Teacher of Spanish to join our vibrant MFL department and help shape the academic journey of our scholars.

About the Role

As a Teacher of Spanish, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that promote a love of language and culture. You will be responsible for planning, preparing, and assessing learning for all scholars, including those who are absent, suspended, or in isolation. Your teaching will reflect high expectations, foster intellectual curiosity, and support every scholar to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver well-structured, differentiated lessons that build on prior knowledge and stretch all learners.
  • Promote high standards of attainment, progress, and outcomes across KS3 and KS4.
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Use assessment effectively to inform teaching and provide meaningful feedback.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all scholars, including those with SEND, EAL, or high ability.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and the wider life of the academy.
What We’re Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a good honours degree.
  • Successful experience teaching Spanish at KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for innovative, inclusive teaching.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • A collaborative, flexible, and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning.
