The Academy’s exciting curriculum, utilising the latest technology, is designed to meet the needs of the 21st century learner. A broad academic and vocational curriculum is offered, with students taught in sets of similar ability students for the majority of their curriculum.

Student progress is carefully tracked and students are challenged to achieve. The statutory 25 hours per week of study is extended with students receiving 30 hours of taught time, enabling students to build on their strengths and receive support to address any weaknesses.

At Key Stage 4 students select subjects based on their skills and aspirations as individuals. They can choose from a wide range of courses tailored to enrich and enhance the curriculum. The carefully thought out careers and guidance programme, which was recently awarded Investor in Careers status, covers all years and ensures students make informed choices.
