Teacher of Spanish (MAT COVER) job summary
We are seeking a passionate and committed Teacher of Spanish to join the Languages Department at Coopers School, a thriving secondary school within the Orion Education Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic practitioner to deliver high-quality language education and inspire a love of Spanish across the age and ability range.
The successful candidate will deliver well-planned, engaging lessons that enable all students to make strong academic progress while developing confidence in their linguistic and cultural understanding. You will hold high expectations of every learner, using assessment effectively to inform teaching, track progress and support positive outcomes for all pupils. As a classroom teacher, you will play an active role in maintaining a calm, purposeful learning environment in line with whole‑school behaviour systems.
You will contribute positively to departmental curriculum development and work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and continually improve teaching and learning. The role also involves active participation in wider school life, including pastoral responsibilities, enrichment opportunities, open evenings and school events, ensuring that students receive a broad and enriching educational experience.
