What skills and experience we're looking for

Fluent speaker (from desirable)

Successful experience of working with young people (from desirable

Successful completion of a foreign language course/Degree Level French (if not a Fluent native speaker).

A relevant teaching qualification or working towards Evidence of continuous professional development and the ability to reflect on teaching practice and personal performance

Knowledge/experience of the A Level Speaking Paper

An ability to encourage, inspire and motivate learners

To increase the hours associated with this post, we are able to offer up to full-time hours as a Study Support Tutor. Our ideal candidate would undertake both roles during the week, allowing French-speaking lessons to be scheduled flexibly around students’ timetables. As a Study Support Tutor, you will contribute to the development of student support through raising aspirations and performance and helping to build ambition, confidence and resilience in young people. Confidentiality, flexibility and a supportive and empathetic approach to students are key skills required in this role in order to provide a high standard of support to individual students with their specific care and educational needs.
