We are looking to appoint an exceptional Teacher of Technology with a strong knowledge of Product Design (wood, metal, plastic) at Key Stage 4. Knowledge and experience of delivery at Key Stage 5 would be desirable but not essential. You will join a forward-thinking department who collectively work together in raising the aspirations and attainment of our students. You will need to be an energetic and committed individual who strives to ‘bring out the best’ in your own and student’s work.

The successful applicant will play an integral role in contributing to the success of students’ outcomes in Technology at KS3 to KS5. You will be required to have up to date knowledge of the most effective teaching and learning practices and be able to demonstrate these in your own day to day teaching.

The Technology Department is committed to providing high quality teaching and learning for all students and the post represents an ideal opportunity to work in a positive and supportive environment. The department currently has three full time members of staff and one part time technician. It delivers Product Design, Fashion & Textiles, Graphic Products and Food & Hospitality at KS3. At KS4, students can opt for EDUQAS GCSE Design Technology or WJEC Food & Hospitality. At KS5, students can study EDUQAS GCE A Level Design Technology.

The Technology department is well resourced and has the latest CAD CAM equipment.

We have strong links with other schools within the United Learning Group. The department also takes part in the Rotary challenge and Young Chef competition each year.
