Job/Person Summary

We are looking to recruit an inspirational Teacher of Textiles and D&T with a strong subject knowledge to join our creative, cohesive and driven department. The successful applicant will be a highly motivated, enthusiastic and pro-active teacher of Textiles with experience in teaching the subject in KS3 and KS4 and who is committed to raising the expectations and achievements of our students.

A Textiles teacher plays a vital role in inspiring creativity, teaching valuable life skills and opening pathways into industries like fashion, design and engineering. They help students see textiles not just as 'needlework', but as a modern, innovative discipline with real-world applications. Pupils at Calthorpe Park School study a module of Textiles at both Year 7 and Year 8 and then can opt to study this at GCSE.
