The Visual Arts Faculty at John Mason School is an ‘outstanding’ faculty that has developed a rich curriculum offer across KS3-5. The team are dedicated to the principle that, if taught well, all students can be artistically and creatively successful. Leaders in the department work to ensure positive staff wellbeing and manageable workload, ably assisted by an experienced team of technicians.
Applications are invited from reflective, disciplined, motivated and inspiring practitioners with specialisms in Textiles or Art and Design, who have the capacity to deliver outstanding teaching, ensuring that students achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will understand principles of a knowledge and skills rich curriculum and have an understanding of relevant techniques in art/design. They will be passionate about personal improvement and promoting and teaching Visual Arts. There is also potential opportunity for the post to offer a leadership role for those looking to extend their leadership abilities. This would involve assisting the Director of Faculty in curricular management and delivery of Design subjects and management of Faculty staff. It is an ideal post for a candidate looking to experience a teaching and/or leadership role in a committed and experienced Design faculty.
