Contract Type: Fixed term (in the first instance)
Contract Days: 2 days a week (Thursday, Friday)
The successful candidate will be a creative and clever teacher, able to make learning fun, bring the curriculum to life and ensure that all children progress and achieve. They will be able to create an inclusive and stimulating environment to inspire learning and be a role model for our children and families. We are looking for a caring and warm individual that values every child, yet understands the rigour and challenge required in the modern classroom. Job share with an established, expert teacher, to offer guidance and support.
The Role
The overall purpose of the post is to ensure high quality education for all pupils for which you are responsible and accountable and improve the quality of learning and standards of achievement.
The Core Purpose:
To build positive relationships with all children, nurturing their talents and needs to enable them to flourish.
To develop, implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, engaging, relevant and ambitious curriculum that meets the needs of all pupils.
To facilitate and encourage engaging and challenging learning experiences which provide pupils with the opportunity to achieve success.
To consistently promote and model academy and Trust policies and procedures.
To contribute to a school culture and environment that promotes the wellbeing of all pupils and staff.
Key Tasks:
To fulfil the duties of a Teacher and the relevant professional standards as outlined in the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document.
To provide a secure, happy and caring environment for all children in the class.
To plan, prepare and deliver appropriate educational experiences, which address individual needs through quality teaching and high expectations.
To ensure that educational needs of all pupils in your class are fully met and liaise with the SENCO where necessary to support children with special needs.
To ensure that all pupils make at least expected progress within an academic year.
To implement interventions and support measures to support children who are not on track to meet their end of Key Stage targets.
To inform the SENCO of any concerns relating to the development of a child.
To assess, monitor, record and report, on the progress and attainment of pupils. To administer national and school assessments thoroughly and to use the information to improve standards.
About You
We are looking for:
Qualified Teacher Status
Experience of Teaching in either Key Stage One or the Early Years Foundation Stage
Experience of teaching a creative, topic led curriculum
Experience of deploying support staff and other adults in the class
Evidence of teaching that is consistently rated as good or higher
Have a secure knowledge of the National Curriculum for Key Stage One or the EYFS curriculum
Approachable
