About our School

Meadowfield truly is a special place to work. If you want to make a difference, then this is the school for you. We have a strong staff team who are dedicated to wanting the best outcomes for all our children. We have an unswerving commitment to a child centred learning provision - we offer many off site and innovative learning experiences so that the children learn actively and achieve to their potential. Our motto is ‘Sowing Seeds for the future’ and we truly believe that here, at Meadowfield, we equip our children with the skills and knowledge to set them off on a path to lifelong learning.

Our school is organised into three teaching teams, each led by a member of the Senior Leadership Team. These teams include a mix of experienced teachers, early-career teachers, and long-standing, skilled teaching assistants.

We are a diverse school in East Leeds with high FSM percentages (twice the national average) and benefit from the pupil premium grant to enable us to have a larger pastoral team, an inclusion mentor, specialist music provision, two minibuses for trips and a range of subscriptions which help us to provide catch up opportunities to pupils who need this.

Our team is incredibly supportive; in our annual staff survey we have very high percentages of colleagues stating that they would go to a colleague for help and would provide this back, that they feel a 'team' and are very well supported at all times. We’re proud of our incredibly supportive team, who consistently go above and beyond to build strong, positive relationships with pupils—helping them to blossom, grow, and reach their full potential. Just as importantly, staff support one another, creating a collaborative and welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and part of a strong, united team.

Here’s what you can expect when you join us:

  • Generous benefits, rewards and discounts: Full details HERE
  • Flexible working options: We support work-life balance and are open to exploring suitable arrangements
  • Supportive environment: We prioritise respect, equality, diversity, and well-being
