About the Role
St Francis Catholic Primary School is seeking a committed and compassionate teacher to support the running of our Resource Provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
This is a rewarding opportunity to work with a small group of pupils with additional needs, delivering tailored provision that enables them to thrive both academically and socially within a supportive and nurturing environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCo, leadership team, and support staff to plan and deliver high-quality, personalised learning programmes that meet individual needs and promote inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated learning for pupils within the Resource Provision
- Support pupils with a range of SEND, including communication and interaction needs
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants to ensure effective support and engagement
- Contribute to EHCP reviews, target setting, and progress monitoring
- Liaise with parents, external agencies, and professionals as appropriate
- Promote positive behaviour strategies and a consistent, nurturing approach
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a qualified teacher with experience or a strong interest in SEND
- Has a patient, flexible and nurturing approach to teaching
- Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills
- Is committed to inclusive education and achieving the best outcomes for all pupils
- Has experience of, or willingness to learn about, supporting pupils with complex needs
