How would you like to join a vibrant, outstanding school who have recently undergone an exciting phase of development?
Springwell school is for pupils aged 4 – 11 years with complex learning difficulties and challenging behaviour in Thornhill, Southampton.
The school is situated on the edge of the city and has excellent facilities including large spacious classrooms, dedicated teaching areas, large multi-sensory rooms and hydro-therapy pool.
We are looking for a number of teachers to join us from September 2020 who are able to make an immediate contribution to the way our pupils learn and engage. We are looking for individuals with drive and enthusiasm, the ability to inspire and who are dynamic in their approach to making learning fun and accessible for all pupils.
Teaching and learning takes place in small class groups with a high level of support and a well-differentiated curriculum to meet individual needs.
The successful candidates will work with an excellent staff team who are both forward thinking and innovative, and who have high expectations of themselves and the pupils they support. You will be responsible for managing the support staff within the class.
We welcome teachers with a variety of backgrounds including those with SEN experience, NQT status and teachers transferring from mainstream. A well-developed induction programme will provide in depth support and guidance.
