Position: Teacher - SEND Class
Days: Monday - Friday
Salary/Grade: MPS.1 - MPS.6
Actual Salary: 34,398 - 46,839
Contract: 18 months fixed term contract from January 2026, with the possibility of extension, dependent on the future needs of the school

Are you an experienced and passionate teacher who thrives on making a difference for children with additional needs? We are looking for a qualified teacher with a strong understanding of SEND to join our dedicated team at Bedmond Academy.
This is a unique opportunity to lead learning in a small class setting with pupils who have more complex learning and social, emotional and communication needs. You will play a key role in creating a nurturing, structured and engaging environment where every child can thrive.
The ideal candidate will:
Have experience in Early Years and/or Key Stage 1, with a solid understanding of early child development.
Demonstrate an understanding of SEND practice, including planning for individual needs, scaffolding learning and promoting emotional regulation.
Be passionate about inclusive education and creative, hands-on learning.
Be a reflective practitioner who values teamwork, collaboration and professional growth.

OUR SCHOOL
We are a small village school in the heart of Bedmond, with four mixed classes and an exciting curriculum that caters well for this. We pride ourselves as a friendly and nurturing school within the local community, offering a wide range of opportunities for our pupils both academically and pastorally. I lead a committed team, where staff think creatively, working well to meet the needs of all our pupils, with enrichment at the heart of what we do. Within our curriculum, we weave in outdoor learning and have half-termly enquiry-based questions that link many aspects of our wider curriculum, supporting whole school collaboration.
