Main Purpose of the job

You will empower pupils to achieve the desired results and encourage them to see the importance of learning as a foundation to a successful journey in life.  

You’ll work together with the senior leadership team to provide pupils with the very best learning opportunities and support required to overcome barriers to their learning.  

You’ll plan, teach and assess lessons in line with curriculum objectives.  

You'll ensure a healthy and positive culture of learning to meet their needs so they can progress towards a happy life that they can enjoy.

2022 was quite the year for us at Harbour School Dorset; we moved into a brand new school building and supported the 30 students already in place. Now we are embarking on the next stage of growth, increasing our staffing team to support the 50 new students that have joined us this September.

Dan our Headteacher and his senior team are always looking for awesome people, and right now are looking for Teachers to make a difference to children with ASC and social, emotional and mental health needs and giving them the opportunities they deserve is a job like no other.

We require someone who can take an innovative approach to achieving the desired results for our students and who can empower young people to see the importance of qualifications as a foundation to a successful journey in life.

You will be part of an inclusive and collaborative team that, no matter what the challenge may be, are ready to face it head on and are committed to seeing it through.
